Goko Shop

Friends
Eileen and I have known each other for 25 years and have long thought about working together.  Last year and quite by chance, Eileen came across a range of herbally based cosmetic creams produced in  South Africa, the country of her birth. This sparked an idea that has grown into our new company - Goko.

Goko – The name

We wanted something, modern, impactful, unisex and reflecting the message that our creams would help users to lead an active life.  The range is simple to use, multifunctional and highly dependable – this all had to be communicated.  After some thought and many rejections, we decided on Goko, the first two letters of ‘Gotu’ and ‘Kola’ – the Sri Lankan name for the centella herb.

Lion  Symbol

We then chose our lion’s head logo to deliberately mirror our cross continental links. The lion is not only an African symbol, historically it appears in English heraldry and is still present on our royal standards, coinage and the shirts of some of our home sports teams.  Our lion also represents to us the vibrancy, warmth and strength of an extraordinary country and people.

Centella Cream
Initially we are launching Goko centella cream which can be used on numerous minor skin problems and irritations.  Eileen experienced the cream’s rapid effectiveness when she used it on holiday in South Africa and this is what convinced her to bring it to the UK.

One Tube, Many Solutions
Goko saves time and the expense of buying many different creams – invaluable when we all lead such busy lives.

Giving Back
As a company it is our intention to offer something back to Southern Africa and over the coming months we will be establishing a number of links with charities and companies who do valuable work in improving the lives of people on the continent.

We hope that you enjoy using Goko and that it works for you!

Best wishes,
