This September a group of 4 intrepid souls will set out from New York with the aim of reaching Los Angeles by mid November, emulating the epic run made by fictional character Forest Gump.

Royal Marines Colour Sergeant Damian Todd came up with the idea of ‘The Gumpathon’ as a way of raising funds for disabled servicemen on both sides of the Atlantic, after a close friend was severely injured whilst serving in Afghanistan. Damian will be one of the four runners who will each cover 16 miles in a relay formation, completing over 60 miles a day; the equivalent of 34 marathons over the 3 month period.

All money raised will be donated to Help for Heroes in the UK and The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund in the US. Goko is extremely proud to be an official sponsor of The Gumpathon and to be involved with such two such fantastic charities.
