There are many links between Goko and South Africa; it’s where we source our centella and it’s where our cream is produced, it’s also where our founding partner, Eileen Dunmore grew up.

We chose our lion’s head logo to deliberately mirror these cross continental links. The lion is not only an African symbol; historically it appears in English heraldry and is still present on our royal standards, coinage and the shirts of some of our home sports teams. Our lion also represents to us the vibrancy, warmth and strength of an extraordinary country and people.

We will be regularly reporting on Africa and aspects of this fantastic continent in these pages. We hope that we can inspire you to learn more about it and even get involved in helping it achieve some of its huge potential.
